World Con Report

Here I am at the con Internet room doing something I should not be doing. Mainly doing a quick report instead of trying to party.

Highlights were the party in my suite Friday night. We had some bizarre liquor that had a real gecko lizard in it. Not only did people drink the stuff but someone actually tried to eat the gecko. All he did was eat the head.

Said person actually wanted the body from the garbage to prove he ate part of it!

Gecko Update

Apparently the gecko made quite an impression from the talk around the con.
There is another gecko bottle and we're talking of torching the gecko since it's well marinated by now.
The gecko is still in the bottle. That may change tonight.

Party Info

The best food and party was in the Chicago bid suite. The Frango mints were great.

Babylon 5 stuff

There was a good turnout for JMS's autographing session. Joe was great. He's very gracious.

I looked and could not find any of the B5 Micromachines from the 5th and 6th sets. I really hoped I would.
One of the dealers had the "Making of B5" book and the other B5 book from the UK.

B5 stuff from JMS talk

Joe showed two blooper reels. One from the third season and the current fourth season blooper reel. The fourth season was the clean reel and was titled as such. I don't want to think what the unclean version was like!
When Joe asked if we wanted to see the fourth season blooper reel or have questions the vote (such as it was) was a landslide for the blooper reel.
Joe said that an agreement had been made with Revelle for models! Joe said there is some talk with TNT about producing B5 movies that would fill in the B5 story. (I hope I got this right)
Joe played to a packed house and was very entertaining. He told stories of how there was never enough capacity for his talks. Joe said "My people are coming."
